For some reason, I'm determined to finish my
kink_bingo card by Wed. Here's the fourth out of five, in another extremely obscure fandom. The fifth, with any luck, will be super fluffy Lewis fic.
Title: Stiff
Rating: R
Pairing: Four/Eric
Warnings: dub-con,impact play, mention of canon childhood abuse.
Spoilers: major spoilers for Insurgent
Word count: ~1,150 wds.
Disclaimer: These characters do not belong to me. No profit is being made from this work.
a/n: For the "rough body play" square on my kink_bingo card.
a/n: Major spoilers for Insurgent.
a/n: I'm grateful to
frackin_sweet for the very helpful beta on this.
a/n: I meant to write a fic called "Four Times Four Took a Punch," just because I liked the title, but I stalled out on the first one.
Summary: There are things more dangerous than fear.

Hoping everyone caught in Sandy's path is staying safe and dry and warm!

Hope you didn't get too much rain/wind/snow (nothing particular here, thank goodness!)

Date: 2012-10-30 01:31 pm (UTC)Hey, I've got 500 words of a Wallander fic! It's been painful. Rusty and painful. But I will prevail.

But we listened to the first Divergent book in the car, and I was interested enough to go on to the second, even though the boys didn't follow me. A strand of the plot is about mirror neurons, which was enough to keep me going. So, sometime I guess I do like them...
Yay fic!! I am making my slow way through 2x01 right now.
I'm gonna try to get another 500 words of Lewis done today!

Date: 2012-10-31 01:30 pm (UTC)Speaking of...I'm about halfway through listening to The Good Soldiers. What an extraordinarily sad book (actually given an unusually good audiobook reading)! My neighbors must think I'm nuts, b/c I'm walking along with my super happy dog with my ear buds in, looking like I'm about to cry.
Speaking of Iraq, there's an amazing story in this week's New Yorker about a veteran seeking absolution from the civilians whose family he'd killed: http://www.newyorker.com/reporting/2012/10/29/121029fa_fact_filkins (I think you might have to be a subscriber to access it--but someone told me the guy was also on NPR)

Date: 2012-11-13 04:10 am (UTC)I found your story interesting and compelling and just wanted to tell you that. I love these books. Insurgent is the only book I've managed to read this year (I think). I had no idea there was a fandom for it.
