. I'm reading all your H50 tags; who needs to finish class prep for tomorrow? *g*
Apparently their father shipped his children off to the mainland after their mother’s death. Steve was 16, right?
Right. And this bugs me. In the Christmas/bomb ep, Steve says, "I know what it's like to be raised by a single father. All Grace will remember is that you spent Christmas with her." (paraphrased, but I've watched several times)
Then we find out Steve's mother died when he was sixteen -- or wasn't that earlier? The ep where the serial killer is targeting newlyweds. Anyway, mother dead when he's sixteen =/= 'raised by a single father'; he had both parents for almost half his current life.
Yes, I know about canon inconsistencies; my first in-depth fandom was Sentinel, where we have two canon birthdates for the lead. But, geeze, can't they at least try to reconcile the background facts within the first 13 episodes?
I know. Rhetorical question, but I felt the need to express a little snark. *g* .
