I just checked, and I haven't posted any Sherlock Holmes fic since February O_O But that doesn't mean I haven't been writing any! Here is the shorter of two fics I wrote for the
hw09_exchange (reveals went up yesterday). I'll post the other, longer, fic in a couple of days.
Title: A Beautiful Pea-Green Boat.
Rating: PG
Word count: 2,967.
Disclaimer: Not mine, no profit
Summary: A man could survive for a month without food; without water--two weeks if he were lucky. An open boat in the North Atlantic did not count as luck.
a/n: Some hand-waving may have occurred vis-à-vis the actual medical details of exposure. More notes at the end of the fic.
a/n: written for the
hw09_exchange for
lavvyan
a/n: many thanks, as always, to
calamitycrow for the beta, and everything else.
A Beautiful Pea-Green Boat
"In retrospect, Holmes, this may not have been the best idea."
"Hindsight is always perfect, Watson. Now kindly shut up and row."
