Summary: Marcus was not the only one for whom the winter was hard.
a/n: Aside from the fact that I’ve kept the size difference and age difference from the movie, just ‘cause I like them, this is very much a book ‘verse fic. I think all you need to know about that is that in the book, Marcus learns the native languages and speaks them well. He and Esca spend the winter in Calleva after they get back with the eagle.
