Happy Hanukah! And a SH/H50 fic

Happy Hanukah, everyone!

The latkes this year were crispy on the outside and cooked on the inside. That doesn't happen every year. Hopefully it was a portent.

Also, there was the Once-a-Year Kugel:







I am trying again to post fics for each night of Hanukah. Tonight, the second chapter of a fic I started last year for Hanukah. I'm somewhat startled that I've finished it. It is now the second longest thing I've ever written.

The Adventure of the Tattooed Fighter

H50/SH xover sent in late nineteenth-century London. Pretty much PG-13, but with establish H/W.

They were good this year! I do not always make them particularly well--but I seemed to have used the right amount of oil for frying this time :)

Enjoy your latkes! I wish I had an old family recipe for kugel, but I make mine right out of the Joy of Cooking (and add some raisins). I'll try to transcribe the recipe.

I'm so glad you enjoyed the story--especially that it was fun to read! I'm glad I finally finished it too--though writing things that long makes my head explode.

It was good--in the way that only cheese and raisins wrapped in carbs can be ;)

and thanks! I'm somewhat surprised I finished it, but it felt good. Fic that long makes my head explode a bit.
