The good news is: I actually wrote SPN fic I don't hate--for the first time since May. So what if it's a Dean/Cas PWP? Or that it's fever!sex, a trope (okay, kink) that I enjoy, but always feel a little queasy about? Right?

You know how sometimes when I feel totally overwhelmed by enormous, un-completable projects on every front--professional, domestic, etc.--I end up writing little snippets of unabashed comfort!fic? Well, now you do!

Anyway, that's what happened this week. Instead of (or at the same time as) doing all the things I was supposed to be doing, I picked up a prompt from the sickdean meme and wrote this bit of straight-up Dean-Castiel h/c.

In some ways it's a coda for 5.03, or at least happens in the SOP after the ep., but mostly it's just shameless comfort!fic. No need to read if that isn't your cup of tea--I'm just posting it here for record-keeping, 'cause I thought of a better title, and because it'll probably be kripked tonight.

It’s kind of an irresistible premise: We all know an archangel is out to get (have?) Dean; Dean won’t allow himself to be used as a vessel. Or will he?

I think there are a lot of these out there, but two I really liked are behind the cut.
