I was going to wait and do an omnibus TV post at the end of the week, after I'd caught up with comments, etc.

But no, this episode filled me with too much DELIGHT to wait.

Here's how I imagine the script meeting going:

TPTB: Okay, this time, we want the badass dialed up to eleven.

Writers: Eleven, gotcha. Steve goes to eleven this week.

TPTB; No. Not just Steve. Everyone. Everyone to eleven. And that includes the guest stars, people. We want them barefoot, bloody and badass.

Writers: Okey-dokey, we'll get right on that, then.

But really, only one thing came close to topping my delight at Martin-Sheen-in-Apocalypse-Now!Steve taking time out from his jungle booby-traps to talk Danny down from his anxiety attack ("I have a face, you have a tone" OMG), and that was Steve's mad field medicine skillz ('cause y'all know I have a THING for that).

I kept thinking that the Danny plot line might tie back to the Brenner plot line, but, y'know, then Kono came in and showed off those rabbit kicks she learned from Steve and I totally forgot to worry about it.

DELIGHT!

I knooooow! This episode made me so, so, so ridiculously happy. I love how many different kickass ladies this show is giving us, no lie (Kono/DA whose name I didn't catch would be preeeetttttty)
