Just boosting the signal on the awesome news that Martin Freeman has officially, after a fuckton of speculation, been cast as Bilbo Baggins in Peter Jackson's The Hobbit.

I love Tolkien, but have never liked The Hobbit much. This may change my mind.
If they could only cast BC now as Smaug--he's said it's his dream role--and he sure has the voice for it!
