oh good! I'm glad it makes sense--I am very unsure of my kink interpretations!

I love the idea of fetishizing the corruption of pristine things! In the context of GK or The Pacific (which I would probably write it for), I think it would be more about familiarity/intimacy/loss of physical & psychic coherence -- also just the tactility and gooeyness of it all.
